In my last session I had played with a pair where they both alerted a 2 opening to be natural and intermediate, and a 1 opening to be natural and forcing (14+ points and unlimited for all of the 1-level suit openings).

Does anyone know such a system? How is it normally used?

Fantunes was a system where one of a suit opening bids were forcing and unlimited. The 14+ points also reminds me of Fantunes who played fairly sound openings. That's about the extent of what I know about this system.

wikipedia article about the system.
Link to a (very good) book about the system, with a readable extract.

Note that the prime pair that used the system - in fact, the one it's named after - were the trigger for the first great scandal of the 2010s, because they cheated. Now, it wasn't their bidding system that "needed help", but their (unusual) defensive signals; and Bill Jacobs put up many decent results with the system(1) even after the departure of that pair.

EHAA has sound and unlimited, but non forcing 1 bids, and potentially intermediate (but frequently, and sometimes spectacularly weak) 2 bids.

Obviously, you could easily modify it, but I wouldn't recognize it as EHAA.

So possibly, but more likely the other system.
