Over 1-1 you will have a 1N response
Over 2-2-2 you will have a 3 response

2 Crowhurst
4 cue (4 by opener would be cue not LT for us, over which I'll bid 4)

I presume partner has the miracle Ax(x), KJx, AKJ10x, xx(x) for 12 off the top for this post to be made

Using Crowhurst do you assume 1N is 12-16? I was playing Acol and defending on this occasion , but hadn't discussed this.

Over 1N I bid 2 artificial GF looking for direction (hopefully a hearts raise).
Over 3 I bid 4 looking for spades control.

Did he bypass a diamond control or are we assuming diamond control from the opening?

Pretty standard NA auction starts 1NT-2; 2 (I assume, if 2 different)-3 (4, 5, GF). Any bid that isn't 3NT will be a cue agreeing hearts.

Does the 3 bid say anything about shape or honour concentration?
If not opener will raise to 4.

What is the advantage of Crowhurst versus 2 as 54 GF?

3 over 2 would be 17-19 3, 2 would be 15-16. =3 means exactly 3 hearts if that confused you
