Is it too late to join this?

After we crown a winner, we will have an ongoing challenge the winner, and if you upset them, then you get challenged. The problem with this is there are so many pairs, and you have to find someone to administer the hands who are on at the same time...

So stick around you will eventually get a shot at the winners...

Will do. I suppose at this point I could request to join a waiting list of anyone who loses a partner.

I would really have liked to bid these hands.

I might try and do it after the round has finished.

Partly i keep forgetting to find someone and partly our evenings are the middle of the night for Ben and Kathryn.

ROUND TWO HAS ENDED....

Since round 3 will only continue with 15 pairs (the others are eliminated), round 3 will not begin until the scoring of Round 2 has been finalized (discussion settled).

For round 3, Six of the 10 pairs in the top group after round 1 will drop to the lower group to join the top 5 pairs from that group who survived the round 2 bidding.

At the end of round 3, the top pair will in the upper group will get a bye for round four, with all other pairs competing to see who bids against the "upper bracket winning pair" from round 3.

We were 9th first round.

I think you have missed a board in the totals somewhere.
(I suspect it is board 12).

Edit: It may not be board 12, but our total definitely does not match what I calculated it to be.

I think one of the lists before all scoring changes were added was used; I don't think we should be bold.

Please check the totals. Our total score should be 98. We scored in order:

10 + 10 + 4 + 8 + 3 + 5 + 4 + 7 = 51 on the first eight
10 + 3 + 0 + 10 + 5 + 4 + 7 + 8 = 47 on the second eight

I'm not sure which boards you excluded to get our score as 87; it seems like it must be at least two boards since we didn't get 11 on any board.

There are a couple boards where I think there are problems with the scoring that effect our result -- these are boards 6 and 13. I'm also not sure on the scoring of board 11, but our score of zero was well-deserved!

Edited: Oops, my mistake. We got 6 on board 15 and not 7 because we played it from the "wrong" side. So our score should be 97, which could easily be leaving out a single board where we obtained a 10.

I am gettiing emails that I have total some scores wrong. I suspect in sorting, I separted the scores from the right people. I am using a friends computer right now, and am not at home. I will check teh scores and post the corrections. This could explain the bolding problem potentially too....

Sorry.

Does everyone agree iwth the contracts given for their tables. I think those are right.

Contracts look correct to me.
I once yelled at my partner for discarding the 'wrong' card when he was subjected to a squeeze that I allowed by giving the wrong count with too high a card. Now he's allowed to pitch aces when the opponents have the king in the dummy. At trick 2. When he could have followed suit. And blame me.

Looks like we should have
4+0+10+8+2+5+6+7+10+0+10+2+5+4+7+8 = 88
to me. Sound about right - 150 for clee, 25 for me, average = 88.

Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if a few of the boards had the wrong scores with the wrong people when Inquiry checks it. FWIW I've got our score at 92 going through board by board.

Big change from last time - we have only one 10 score, but 2 11. Definitely some systemic wins and losses as well.

These scores are not final, but this is where they stand as of now, as least two boards the scores seem in debate. Also, I may not have caught all the errors in scoring. For some reason, board 1 was not scored for several pairs (the sum function missed a the first column) and that accounts for the differnces.

UPPER BRACKET in bold (top 4 continue in upper bracket, others in lower)
LOWER BARCKET not bold (top 4 continue, others eliminated), joining the lower bracket are the six pairs bumped out of the upper bracket. Free/hrogthar do not count as one of the top pairs. In case of ties, pair move on.
