I picked up this hand as north in a recent team game. As it turns out, partner had major suit Aces and a slow club stopper, so the contract made easily on a spade lead. In fact, partner made a couple of overtricks when East was on lead with Kx at the end. 4 was bid and made at the other table.

I thought that my bidding was the best way to describe my hand, although I thought about gambling with 2NT or 3NT after the 2 bid.

I am wondering how others might have handled my hand.

i think 2d is a fine start but 3h ventures into the danger zone. P can still be quite weak with this bidding
and IMO it would be best to make a bid that will allow p to describe their hand/power before commiting
our side to probably the 4 level.

my second bid would be x with the intention of
correcting 3c to 3d
raising 3h to 4h
raising 2n to 3n
passing 3d or 3n
figuring out what to do if the bidding gets higher.

I would have started with a double. Over partners likely 3 I bid 3nt.
