I am very interested in seeing how today's game goes and how Topalov takes advantage of his psychological carry over from yesterday. gwnn, thanks for promoting the match and for keeping your fellow commentators on their toes. That was a pretty astute comment there about the time pressure from your colleague.

Better one

Sergey Shipov @ Chess Network

Translated from Russian, though.

Polgar might take offense to that...she's 20 points higher rated than Shipov, and 100 places higher on the current FIDE rankings. And she speaks English!

Well, for that you have Nigel Short in Chessgames.

I still prefer Shipov, as commentator.

I'm reading Shipov, he seems thoughtful but blatantly pro-Topalov, maybe it's just this game..

final game coming up.. e4 anyone??

I think it's going to be Caro Kann and Topalov will lose with white.

Anyone want to make it interesting?

edit: oops it's tomorrow. never mind.

I'll take Topalov even up for 5 Euros.

I'll take that bet assuming you mean final winner, not just tomorrow. :P

If you want to say just tomorrow I need some odds, say 2:1 (you win +5/-10/0 in case of Topalov/Anand/draw).

Final winner, not just tomorrow.

Anand is favored, I think, but betting with no odds is fine for me.

Are you sure Anand is favored? Topalov gets white in the last game which is a big edge.

Of course in the tie breaker Anand is going to be the favorite because he is a beast with fast time controls, so it's still possible Anand is the fav but it doesn't seem that clear.

I'd be under the impression that Topalov has a small edge overall but I'm fine with losing a little expected value like this. I hope they will broadcast the tiebreaking matches, they should be cracking awesome.
